The day begins early at T. N. Bowes Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. As a service technician, I arrive at our Maryland headquarters before sunrise, ready to help our community stay comfortable in their homes and businesses.
First Service Call – 8:00 AM
After reviewing the day’s schedule and loading my service van with necessary parts, I head to my first furnace repair appointment. Winter mornings can be particularly busy, as heating systems often show signs of trouble during the night when they’re working hardest.
Mid-Morning Tasks
Common daily activities include:
- Performing preventative maintenance checks
- Diagnosing heating system issues

Afternoon Schedule – 1:00 PM
Lunch breaks are flexible, working around emergency calls. Our commitment to customer service means being ready to respond when heating systems need immediate attention. The afternoon often involves multiple service calls, ranging from routine maintenance to complex furnace repairs.
End of Day – 5:00 PM
Before heading home, I ensure all paperwork is complete and my van is restocked for tomorrow’s calls. Working at T. N. Bowes means being prepared for whatever challenges the next day might bring to keep our customers’ homes comfortable and safe.
